Hmmmm........

I found this explanation in Q&A section of Cobalt's website.

Can you explain the "No High Heels Policy?"

Sure. We do not allow spiked high heels simply for safety reasons. Period. Just stay on the safe side and wear flat shoes. Most gay men don't look at women's heels anyway so just leave that fashion at home.

Saying that most gay men don't look at women's heels is a big pile of crap. Almost every gay man I know checks out everyone's shoes.

The whole safety excuse is stupid too. If it's such a safety issue, why don't other clubs and bars ban high heels? What makes Cobalt *so* unsafe?

Vuboq: That was exactly what I had thought (the first part of your comment). Where I get the most complimets about my shoes (or outfits) is Halo. When I was leaving Cobalt, some guys on the line told me "OMG, that's ridiculous! You look fabulous with those shoes!" I don't know any straight men who pay attention to women's shoes. But after reading this on Cobalt's website, I thought I might have been wrong and actually not welcomed there.

Bala wala shi: you mean the "women's rights to shoes" episode? when carrie's shoes were stolen?
