Dear Washington Metro

I have just learned Washington Metro is finally planning to equip its trains with handles which gives "short" riders a grip. I'm 5'4 and usually wears high-heels (2-4 inches) and still have had hard time to reach those bars. Anyways, Japanese trains and buses have been equipped with the handles for ages, and they seem to be much more sofisticated than the ones you are planning to install. Just FYI.

In the U.S. buses are mostly for the poor so be glad they work :) who would even think of adding improvements that might make them comfortable or convenient or...

Hi Tomokito!

Actually they are only installing them on one car (if I read correctly) for now, and they are these strange, spring-loaded things. I sense trouble!

They were also supposed to add more vertical bars next to the seats on a few cars as a test, but I have yet to see them.
